| Chai Chai, the Hindi word for tea, in English refers to "spiced tea". There are a variety of recipes, but the basic ingredients usually include black tea and sweetner. The tea also will include one or more of the following spices: cardomon, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, peppercorn, cloves, nutmeg, cocoa, vanilla and licorice. Most enjoy chai with milk, cream or vanilla soy. 1 oz. of loose tea makes approximately 10 cups. |
